Well, we all know I’m a big fan of Vinted. And I found it very silly that their 2024 wrap-up said I earned €750 from their platform, but did they tell me how much I’ve spent? Of course not. Very smart of them. I don’t want to know.
I tried to keep this short, and include some recent steals, but also my all-time favourite finds. I will do another round-up with a focus on interior decor, and another one with a focus on bags and shoes. I can’t give you all at once!
Vintage French white blouse (€18). Pure cotton, and it has the initials of me and my boyfriend’s first names. So sweet. That sold it for me. Here is a similar one for €40. And this one is nice too, quite different but stunning.
Tintoretto strapless top (€4). Always on the lookout for dinner-party and hosting tops, and I want them to be strapless and anything-but-white. I loved the tiny flowers on this one, and my seamstress took it in a bit which is a cost I could justify as the original price was so low.
Moschino Jeans chef-style jacket (€22). So chic! I wore it to a recent dinner party and it got so many compliments and even my sister texted to ask about the jacket. And she compliments me once a year. So you know it’s a show-stopper. And for that price! So lucky. Also, I know that if my friend Rachel is reading, she will love this jacket.
Isabel Marant Etoile coat (€55). 100% wool. Nice and thick. I have, in the past, missed out on so many Isabel Marant coats because I was too indecisive. Not this time. This one pairs perfectly with black tailored flares, and polished loafers. The bag is leather from last year’s Parfois, which is my favourite place for bag shopping other than Vinted.
Vintage denim fur coat (€180). We all know this coat. We all love this coat. I was thinking about it for days before buying, cause €180 is a lot of money. But I was crazy about it, and I thought I would wear it forever, it’s warm, and I’ve never seen anything like it. And it arrived, and it was stunning. Dark denim on the outside, lined for warmth on the inside, and the colour is this a bluey shade of purple which is weirdly wearable and goes with everything. I get compliments every time I wear it to a point where I would actually like everyone to stop complimenting the coat. Haha. It’s enough. The label says: TU, Good Looking Overcoat Series so that’s your clue for your online search.
Gimaguas milk-maid flower blouse (€17). Gimaguas is one of my favourites. It’s cool, flirty, summery, plus I’m way too cheap for their first-hand prices, so it’s perfect for my Vinted scroll. Oops! I loved this top. And the little asymmetrical flowers on the puffy sleeves. Now, it is a bit too cropped haha, we can all agree. But that’s the joy of Vinted. I’ll make it work. I am bringing it to my grandma, and she’ll maybe add a cute layer to make it a bit longer.
Vintage black wool coat (€40). This one is from the archives (bought on Vinted 2 years ago), but I thought it’s worth sharing. This is my ‘going to the opera’ coat. It’s 100% wool, long, and so chic. The brand is Gold Gate Collection.
Vintage heart safety-pin top (€22). Excuse the pale skin…someone needs a holiday. But I thought this would look so sweet in summer, with off-white jeans and tanned skin. A little bit expensive for a tiny second-hand top, not gonna lie, but I haven’t seen anything like it, so allez!
Ganni cargo off-white barn jacket (€45). An archive piece as well. I think the design is a very very old Ganni, but it’s my favourite thing to wear during summer with a tennis skirt and strappy sandals, and it gets a lot of ‘where did you get that from’ kinda questions. And yes, that fringe suede bag is also Parfois and yes, I have it in purple and brown.
Wrangler fleece vintage half-zip (€20). I had a very annoying laundry accident a few years ago while traveling when all my white clothes got stained in the wash. I won’t go too much into this mildly traumatic experience but I found a new (and sans stains) version of this Wrangler vintage jumper and I love it. But in all honesty, it’s so impractical and gets dirty superfast, so unsure if I recommend but I still like it. I will file this under: my aesthetically pleasing, very unpractical life part 1087.
Thank you endlessly for reading! ♡ I hope you liked it, and if you did, tell a friend about Cafe Léyo. I have around 23 drafts in my Substack editor, and some of them need so much work, but some of are like little diary entries.
Okay, now I got to go cause I have to pack for a work trip, and then I'm going to Croatia for 2 weeks. Ah I’m so excited. Can’t wait to see my mum, and go to Trieste to buy new shoes, and pick wild asparagus nearby the sea. Heaven! Okay bye! Lots of love. L.
Now we need the tips on hoe to find amazing pieces like thiss🤩
This chef-style jacket made me give Vinted and me one more chance 😍
